The history of the relatio company group

Bernd Bodmer 2000: Bernd Bodmer founds relatio MD as a classical company for personnel and business consulting in August 2000. The principal duty was the development of distributive channels for international companies and the choaching and recruiting of corresponding sales employees.

 

2001: Already one year after the company foundation they expand the consulting service with the complete sector Corporate Finance. The area of expertise is corporate financing in regards to Basel II. Subsequently relatio concentrates on the attendance of medium-sized companies during their growth process.

 

2002: They found a tax consultants bureau, relatio CT, with subsidiaries in Sigmaringen and Berlin and expand the consultancy portfolio with the entire tax sector.   

 

2004: Xantrex (today Schneider Electric) gets in contact with Mr. Bodmer. Initially relatio MD is responsible for the entire mobile and retail sector and is able to win customers like Shell, Toom, QVC or Rewe.

 

2005: Xantrex assigns relatio MD with the sales of PV inverters. It does not take long until relatio MD participates in the realization of several projects: for example the ground-mounted photovoltaic plant Rote Jahne and the roof-top plant of the cycle track in Öschelbronn. Mr. Bodmer wants to concentrate in the PV sector and gives his interests in relatio CF and CT to the former associates, which continue business with new company names.

 

2007: Together with Gangolf Gindele, Bernd Bodmer founds the company relatio PV as part of the relatio group. Herewith they lay the foundation stone for an own manufacturing of products like the iBOX, the concrete station for grid-tie inverters or the arrayBox, the intelligent combiner box. After the take over of employees and inventory of the insolvent company ZET Ziegler Elektro Technik relatio develops to the specialist in the sector of medium-voltage. They start their own manufacturing the the sector of electrical engineering.   


The products manufactured are implemented as partial turn-key solutions for project developers like Juwi and Phoenix in entire Europe. In May they found the Spanish subsidiary relatiosolar S.L. in Barcelona.

 

2008: During the boom in Spain, relatio becomes the worldwide strongest sales parter for Xantrex inverters in Europe. The relatio group participated in the realization of several projects like e. g. Gottarendura near Avila and Almería. The development fieldMonitor, the leading software for operation and maintenance, starts and is initially presented during the Intersolar. In the same year they receive the industrial price hand over by the initiative for medium-sized companies.

 

2009: Jörn Menke reinforces the team and founds the company relatio RT Nord for taking first steps into te sector of roof-top plants. Now relatio RT is dealing with the planning and realizing of complete PV roof-top plants beginning at 30 kW incl. installation and commissioning. In the same year the relatio PD e. K. startet with their own project development in the sector of ground-mounted plants - e. g. the Tauberlandpark, which was the largest photovoltaic plant in Europe at that time.


2010: For duplicating the success of relatio RT Nord in the South of Germany, they found the relatio RT Süd directed by Frank Rothacher. The relatio SP starts with the construction of the Tauberlandpark and the first 7 MWp are connected to the grid in March under unfavorable conditions. Due to the political unsecure situation they were able to continue construction works in autumn. In December the Ernsthof was connected to the grid performing approx. 30 MWp in total. 
 

Since the foundation of relatio more than 200 MWp inverter performance have been connected to the grid in Europe and we hope that you maintain going with us on our growth rate.
