The history of the relatio company group:

Bernd Bodmer founded relatio MD as a classical company for personnel and business consulting in August 2000. The principal duty was the development of distributive channels for international companies and the choaching and recruiting of corresponding sales employees. By focusing on IT companies, relatio MD soon acquired customers as Microsoft, SAP and RTL. 

Xantrex contacted Bernd Bodmer in 2004. First, relatio was responsible for the entire sector of mobile equipment as well as the retail sector and was able to acquire customers as Shell, Toom, QVC or Rewe within a short period of time.

Xantrex asked relatio MD in 2005 to take over the sales of PV inverters as commercial agency. It did not take long until relatio MD participated in realizing several projects: for example the photovoltaic plant Rote Jahne on open land and the roof-top plant of the cycle track in Öschelbronn. This led to the foundation of relatio PV GmbH & Co. KG as part of the relatio company group. Thereupon relatio participated with its products and services in more projects of the megawatts sector.

relatio PV became the worldwide most important sales partner of Xantrex inverters in Germany and Spain. The company took care of the successful European market lounch of the inverters. In May 2007 the Spanish subsidiary relatio S.L. was founded in Barcelona to satisfy the requirements of the Spanish market. Xavier Cugat is the General Manager of the Spanish office.

The relatio company group participated in the realization of various projects as Gottarendura near Avila and Almería. In October 2007 relatio PV took over employees as well as the inventory of the insolvent company ZET Ziegler Elektro Technik and therefore engaged specialized, qualified persons for the medium voltage section. relatio grew steadily and started its own development and production division for combiner boxes as well as compact stations and sensors for monitoring of pv plants after the take-over. 

Furthermore relatio PV developed a software for operation management of photovoltaic plants which was first presented on the Intersolar 2008 and which was awarded by the industrial price of the "Initiative Mittelstand" in the same year. The relatio company group is specialized in the sector of plant monitoring and offers operation management for photovoltaic plants by its service company fieldGuard GmbH & Co. KG. Customers may authorize fieldGuard to take care of maintenance of PV plants.

relatio RT Nord GmbH & Co. KG was founded to take first steps in constructing complete plants. As member of the relatio company group the enerel was founded together with fieldGuard in April 2008. The company relatio RT, formerly called enerel, is today responsible for the planning and realization of entire PV plants on roofs beginning at 30 kW including installation and commissioning. For example the roof plant of the tennis court in Tuttlingen was realized by relatio RT.

In 2009 the renea GmbH & Co. KG was founded for participation in power plants and companies in the sector of renewable energies and to be the executive of relatio RT and relatio SP.  

Since the foundation of relatio, a total inverter performance of 182 MWp has been connected to the grid in Germany and Spain. The relatio company group takes part in realizing the largest projects in the world. 45 employees are daily involved in developing, planning and realizing more projects.
